In 2009, Meags earned her Bachelor's Degree of Fine Arts in Drawing from the Alberta College of Art + Design.

Her work addresses personal history, memory, domesticity, and maternal relationships. Meags explores the personal and cultural meanings of these themes through the use of antique and handmade objects.
